Most visitors arrive on Koh Phangan by boat at Thong Sala pier. Shared songthaews run from Thong Sala to Chaloklum; tell the villa your expected arrival time in advance. Samui International Airport is 25 km away, but reaching the island from there involves a ferry crossing, with most services arriving at Thong Sala. The north-coast road connects Chaloklum with the rest of the island, while local long-tail boats serve nearby beaches that cannot be reached by road.

Beach options include Haad Khom Beach at 1.8 km, Ao Hin Ngam Beach at 2.4 km and Bottle Beach at 2.7 km. For a trip inland, Phaeng Waterfall is 5.1 km away. February to April is generally the driest, calmest period on the Gulf coast. June to September brings a green season with short storms, while October to December is the wettest stretch; rougher seas are noted on the east coast in November and December.
